Train is a 23 year old professional killer. As a child he grew up as a killer and eventually joined the ranks of Chronos as the notorious Black Cat, Number 13. After meeting a sweeper Saya, he is swayed from his killing needs and becomes a kinder person. Because of this Chronos turns against him and he is forced to fight for his life against his best friend. Eventually Train is cut off from Saya believing she is dead. He now lives a sweeper trying to erase his bloodied past, unaware his only love and best friend are still alive.

Adam is a 6 month old homunculus created by Doctor and appears 11 years old. He's very childish since he's so young and tends to like experiencing things first hand so he wanders. He also has a tendency to refer people as if they were in his family. Such as Uncle Train, Aunty Saya, and so on. Adam was raised by the Apostles to lead Train and Eve to them one day but for now the Apostles follow them from distances away by having placed a tracking device with Adam which is disguised as a pocketwatch. Adam, being raised by killers, is a killer himself and is quite intelligent but puts on quite the facade of being innocent.
